Cash App has announced the launch of a new tool that will allow US clients to automatically invest a portion of their direct deposit salaries in Bitcoin (BTC). This announcement was made on Thursday at the Bitcoin 2022 conference in Miami.

Users of the Cash App Visa Cash Card will be able to receive payments in Bitcoin at no additional cost, courtesy of Block, a firm owned by Jack Dorsey.

Miles Suter, Cash App’s Bitcoin product lead, revealed that customers may immediately convert 1% to 100% of their deposits into Bitcoin when the news is made public on Thursday. Users can also change the percentage that is converted at any time.

Suter also stated that customers would be able to round up every Cash Card transaction conducted on a Visa debit card linked to a Cash App balance to the nearest dollar and transfer any extra change to Bitcoin.

After presenting on the main stage at the conference, Suter met with Serena Williams, the female tennis champion, Odell Beckham Jr. of the NFL, and Aaron Roders to discuss Bitcoin. Rodgers and Beckham Jr. are among a growing number of players who have collaborated with Cash App to get a percentage of their wages in Bitcoin.

The Bitcoin Cash App has just revealed its interoperability with the Bitcoin Lightning Network for Bitcoin transactions prior to this announcement. As a result of this interoperability, users of the U.S. Cash App will be able to conduct speedier BTC transactions across mainstream companies.
